Once evening sets in, we will select a picturesque campsite for the night, where you will enjoy a traditional Bedouin dinner prepared atop a wood fire, accompanied with sweet Bedouin tea. Around the campfire we will hear about life in the desert and share thoughts and culture.

Recommended walk under the stars:  Before turning in for the night, we highly recommend taking a short stroll under the star filled sky, where you will have a clear view of the milky way galaxy,  constellations, and shooting stars. Please bear in mind that although a short walk is safe, it is also very easy to get lost if you stray too far from our campsite.

After a traditional Bedouin breakfast, we will begin our hike towards the Saudi Arabian Border with the opportunity to scramble and hike Jabel Um Adaami Mountain, the highest mountain in Jordan rising up to 1,854m. This will be followed by a hike through Negara Canyon. Below is the itinerary

  • A 2.5 hour guided hike to the top of the mountain. There are clear markings that will guide you along with our expert guide who will accompany you. Once you arrive, you will see a breathtaking panoramic view of Saudi Arabia to the south and the Wadi Rum to the north. This trip can also be added to other packages.
  • Next in the program is a well deserved lunch break .
  • Afterwards will continue with a jeep tour through the valleys of Wadi Rum traversing the tranquil and serene Wadi Saabit. On the way back, we may explore a few of the smaller valleys if time permits.
  • Afterwards, we will head to a wonderful location to enjoy the sunset with Bedouin tea. I will show you how to collect dry wood for our campfire along with for our dinner. This experience will show you how everyday Bedouins prepare for their evening.

We will set up our campsite in a secluded & quiet location which is perfectly safe. We will be far away from tourism and the whole world. Guests will get the opportunity to feel the calmness of the desert. Oftentimes it seems like the world stands still as we sit by the campfire and enjoy our dinner with sweet Bedouin tea before retiring to our sleeping areas under the beautiful & star filled sky.

  • Enjoy a delicious traditional breakfast enjoying the sunrise. It is a normal thing that Bedouins usually wake up with the Sun as this is what they used to do in the desert because there were no clocks.
  • Around 8:00 – 8:30am, we will drive you back to either the meeting point at the entrance to the Wadi Rum Village. The transportation schedule can be adjusted to suit your needs. Please discuss with your tour guide.

We were 4 friends in Wadi Rum for a day and a night and we had the chance to choose the best guide of Wadi Rum, Salem. We have spent one of the best experience of our life. He is a reliable, attentive and kind person. He made us discover the most beautiful places of this wonderful desert, he cooked for us in a bivouac and we had the opportunity to close our eyes under millions of stars. He knows deeply his land and he told us about history and traditions of beduins people. This was The best experience of our travel to Jordan. Absolutely recommended!
